Group Visits
Friends of Mount Auburn Cemetery

Mount Auburn welcomes group visits year-round. Groups wishing to tour the Cemetery should apply for permission at least two weeks in advance of visiting.
Buses and other large vehicles are not permitted on the grounds. Parking is available outside the Cemetery for any vehicle larger than an 18-passenger van, but must be arranged in advance.
Mount Auburn is a sacred site and groups are expected to observe our Rules at all times while visiting the Cemetery. To preserve the tranquility of the site, groups should include no more than 25 people.
Self-Guided Groups
Groups wishing to visit on their own may tour the grounds whenever the Cemetery is open to the public. There is no fee for self-guided groups.
Guided Group Tours
Guided walking tours of Mount Auburn are available for educational and non-profit groups subject to staff availability. Tours generally last approximately 90-minutes (1 - 1.5 miles of walking). Several different options are available for groups touring the Cemetery with a guide. Please read our Group Tours brochure for more information about specialty tours offered by the Cemetery.

Schedule a visit to Mount Auburn for your group by completing the registration form below. We ask that you be as specific as possible so that we may best accommodate the needs of your group. A member of Mount Auburn's Visitor Services staff will contact you regarding your visit within three days of receiving your request.
