Cherubs & Angels of Mount Auburn

January 7, 2017

Images of celestial beings are found throughout the Cemetery, proudly posing on pedestals or tucked into the decorations of many monuments.  This walk will focus on the role of angels in consoling the human heart.  Join Volunteer Docent Rosemarie Smurzynski for an exploration of the grounds, seeking examples of these winged beings in marble and granite.

Funding for programs has been provided in part by the Massachusetts Cultural Council.
