Lunch Lecture: Conserving Mount Auburn’s Significant Monuments

September 1, 2016

Please join us in welcoming Joshua Craine for a special presentation about monument conservation at Mount Auburn. A sculpture conservator for more than 20 years and co-president of Daedalus, Inc., Josh led the conservation of the Brewer Fountain and the statue of Benjamin Franklin in Boston, as well as sculptures at the United States Capitol in Washington, DC. Josh has recently conserved the Amos Binney, the Magoun, and the Harden monuments at Mount Auburn and he continues to work with the Cemetery’s preservation staff on conservation of our significant monument collection. Meet at Story Chapel; bring a brown bag lunch.
