Celtic Crosses of Mount Auburn
A Celtic Cross is a symbol that combines a cross with a ring surrounding the intersection. Although its history can be traced back to the late Iron Age, in the mid-19th Century there was a Celtic Revival and new versions were designed for fashionable cemetery monuments. Volunteer Docent Ginny Brady will lead a walking tour to explore some of these designs and the families behind them.
